Watch the Incredible ‘David Gilmour: Live at Pompeii’ Concert Film on YouTube Friday, 5/8 at 12 p.m. EDT

If you’ve never seen Live at Pompeii, the jaw-dropping concert film from Pink Floyd legend David Gilmour, here’s your chance.
On Friday, May 8 — this Friday — at 12 p.m. EDT, the film will stream for free via Gilmour’s YouTube channel as a means of providing solid entertainment to those of us stuck at home due to the COVID-19 pandemic:
On Friday May 8th, at 5pm BST / 12 noon ET, my Live At Pompeii concert film from 2017 is screening in full as part of the @YouTube Film Festival, at https://t.co/wbngN19qGF
— David Gilmour (@davidgilmour) May 5, 2020
Originally released in 2017, Live at Pompeii captures a concert David Gilmour and his band performed at the Roman Amphitheatre in 2016. As the event information reads under the YouTube placeholder for Friday’s streaming event:
45 years after Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour filmed ‘Live At Pompeii’ in the legendary Roman Amphitheatre there, he returned for two spectacular shows in July 2016, part of the year-long tour in support of his No. 1 album Rattle That Lock. The performances were the first-ever rock concerts for an audience in the stone Roman amphitheatre, and, for two nights only, the 2,600-strong crowd stood exactly where gladiators would have fought in the first century AD.
In terms of what to expect from the concert film if you haven’t seen it yet, here’s Gilmour’s set list for the recording — with handy bookmarks that will work perfectly once the stream is preserved on YouTube after its Friday premiere:
