The Valley Cultural Foundation, the Leading Arts Organization in Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley, Presents ‘Concerts on the Couch’ Video Performance Series Promoting 2020’s Emerging Artists

The Valley Cultural Foundation, the leading arts organization in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles County, has launched a new online concert series — and Concerts on the Couch allows the VCF to continue its support of emerging artists during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
RockCellarMagazine.com is proud to be among the sponsors of the Concerts on the Couch series, which will release a video block of musical performances from three artists each week.
More, per a news release:
VCF has been supporting emerging artists for the last three (3) years, providing them a means to perform in a live, professional, established concert setting where they can promote and refine their talents.
In an effort to continue its Emerging Artist program, and in compliance with the 2020 restrictions for live music due to the COVID-19 pandemic, VCF has created this online series as a way to entertain safely and promote this year’s emerging artists.
Each summer since 1975, VCF has hosted a free Sunday afternoon concert series called Concerts on the Green, entertaining more than 140,000 Valley residents each year and giving emerging artists an opportunity to be the opening act. With Concerts on the Green not taking place in 2020, Concerts on the Couch was the next best thing for the emerging artists.
On July 6, the Valley Cultural Foundation released the first Concerts on the Couch video block, in conjunction with a donation campaign that will run for one month. Each video block will feature songs by three emerging artists, and VCF will continue to release a new video each week throughout the summer.
Video No. 1 in the series features Alice Howe, Dauzat St. Marie and Illunis (the winner of VCF’s Battle of the Bands 2020). Click here to donate.

“It is our goal for Concerts on the Couch to support our Emerging Artists whenever and wherever possible by providing a platform for their music to be heard, as well as supporting them financially,” stated Nora Ross, CEO.
