Legendary Queen guitarist Brian May revealed a bit of a personal update over the weekend: he’s been forced to cancel his remaining scheduled 2016 performances in order to deal with what he calls a, “persistent illness which is destroying my energy and my will.” May expanded on the situation in a post on his official site: We’re very sad today to announce the indefinite postponement of our ‘candlelight’ concert dates this coming December.  This is a decision I’ve agonized over, but in the end it has become inevitable. I managed to complete the recent Queen and Adam Lambert dates in…

Famed singer/songwriter David Crosby released a solo album in 2014 titled Croz, but that didn’t mean his creative well had dried up — quite the opposite, really. Today, Crosby returns with another new full-length, Lighthouse. A collection of nine new stripped-down songs captures Croz at his very best. He previewed the album a while back with the song “Things We Do For Love,” take a listen: https://soundcloud.com/thedavidcrosby/things-we-do-for-love The full Lighthouse album isn’t available to stream on Spotify, though it is up at Apple Music and available on iTunes, of course. Joyful. It's been a long work and I love it…

Arizona-based rock/indie act Jimmy Eat World have returned, releasing a new album titled Integrity Blues today. Their ninth full-length overall, Integrity Blues comes after the pre-release debuts of tracks “Me With You,” “Sure & Certain” and “Get Right” — and the three are among the highlights of the collection as a whole — but other tracks stand out in their own right. “Pass the Baby,” for example, is a slow burn for nearly five minutes, slight electronic flourishes in the background accentuating Jim Adkins’ vocals until an unexpected, almost prog-rock breakdown (that even calls to mind Soundgarden) in the song’s final minute.…

As part of a new Spotify series called Flash Frame, Blink (now featuring Matt Skiba in place of DeLonge) premiered a new clip for the song “She’s Out of Her Mind” that pays homage to the original video — but stars three women (Vine stars Lele Pons, Hannah Stocking and…
