College football season is right around the corner, and the days leading up to kickoff now have a feel-good story associated with them — specifically Florida State University receiver Travis Rudolph. Visiting Monford Middle School recently to meet with some young students, Rudolph was at the cafeteria and noticed a boy named Bo Paske sitting by himself. Bo, who is on the autism spectrum, was eating his lunch by  himself…so Rudolph took a seat next to him. On Monday night, Phil Collins showed up at the US Open at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, New York to perform his classic hit, In the Air Tonight. It was a rare live appearance for Collins, who is currently acting out the return to music he promised back in 2015. He’s had a big reissue series in the past year or so, too. On Thursday, November 3, a special charity gig will take place at the El Rey Theatre in West Hollywood benefiting Rhonda’s Kiss, a foundation geared around helping cancer patients in need. Headlining this year’s event will be Weezer, fresh off the release of their new self-titled White Album. Mark McGrath, lead singer of Sugar Ray and accomplished TV host, will MC the event. Acclaimed and celebrated actor Gene Wilder has passed away at the age of 83. The news came down on Monday afternoon, and as Variety reported Wilder had been suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease. Wilder made headway in Hollywood thanks to the spirit and understated manic attributes he brought to his characters in films such as Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, The Producers, Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein and many others. While the thought of any future activity from Led Zeppelin may be as mythical as the band’s lyrics themselves, a song previously left on the cutting-room floor has made its way online. Titled Sunshine Woman, the track will be included in an upcoming reissue of 1997’s the Complete BBC Sessions. According to the Wall Street Journal, the song was recorded on March 16, 1969 in London and aired on a BBC broadcast but had not, yet, been released officially. On September 23, Timothy B. Schmit will release a solo album titled Leap of Faith. For Schmit, known for his legendary work with Poco and the Eagles, last released a solo record in 2009, Expando. As he told Rolling Stone about Leap of Faith, he worked on the material between touring periods with the Eagles.
