Loud Krazy Love is a documentary about Brian “Head” Welch, guitarist of the band Korn, focusing on the trials and tribulations that have come to shape the man and father that he is and the significant hurdles he was faced with along the way.

Focusing on Welch’s relationship with his daughter, Jennea, and how the single-parent nature of their reality was met with various obstacles stemming from Welch’s career as a musician in a major band, the documentary is a revealing look at something people might not otherwise consider.

As May is Mental Health Awareness Month, the YouRock Foundation has put together a video testimonial featuring both Brian “Head” Welch and his daughter, Jennea, discussing in great deal the triumphs and challenges of their relationship.

This mini-doc runs almost 12 minutes and was directed by Sebsastian Paquet, and can be seen below:

The You Rock Foundation is a resource for those suffering from depression and mental health issues. As its website states:

It’s estimated that nearly twenty million people are affected by depression in the United States. Left untreated, depression can lead to feelings of hopelessness, decreased neurological function, interpersonal isolation, and loss of interest in activities previously enjoyed. Depression remains the largest perpetuator of suicide. Suicide is the third leading cause of death amongst adolescents ages fifteen to twenty four and the second leading cause of death in college students.

The You Rock Foundation was created to serve as a safe haven for those who have suffered or are currently suffering. Using music as a backdrop, You Rock seeks to pull those suffering out of the dark and show them the possibilities of moving forward with life.

In 2017, Rock Cellar spoke with Corey Taylor, vocalist of the bands Slipknot and Stone Sour, about his personal relationship with the You Rock Foundation — as he, too, is featured in a testimonial from the foundation.

Corey Taylor: YouRock is essentially a foundation that fights teen suicide, depression, and it tries to encourage people to get help in a very positive way. I’ve done a couple of different videos and things with YouRock because I believe in that.
