It’s a busy time for Blink-182 — the veteran pop/punk band is out on the road with Lil’ Wayne and Neck Deep on a big Enema of the State 20th anniversary tour. A new studio album is also set to be released on September 20, and Nine — was previewed with an engaging new song called “Darkside”:

The album title might be a bit confusing when you realize Nine will be Blink‘s eighth studio album – but bassist/vocalist Mark Hoppus and drummer Travis Barker both consider 1994’s Buddha to be the band’s first album and not just a demo/EP, thus making Nine the … ninth album. Get it?

Matt Skiba and Mark Hoppus trade vocals effectively on this one, which will lodge itself in your head rather quickly. “Darkside” is the fourth song released by Blink-182 in recent weeks, joining “Happy Days,” “Generational Divide” and “Blame It On My Youth,” all of which can be heard via Spotify:

Here’s the album’s track listing:

  1. “The First Time”
  2. “Happy Days”
  3. “Heaven”
  4. “Darkside”
  5. “Blame It On My Youth”
  6. “Generational Divide”
  7. “Run Away”
  8. “Black Rain”
  9. “I Really Wish I Hated You”
