Smashing Pumpkins mastermind Billy Corgan just got off the road after a busy summer touring with Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds and AFI, promoting the band’s iconic career as well as its latest album, Shiny and Oh So Bright, Vol. 1 / LP: No Past. No Future. No Sun., which was released in 2018 after the band’s inspired reunion tour.
Might he be taking some time off to unwind? Nope.
Cotillions will be available digitally on November 22. Hear several of the songs on WPC's intimate solo tour in select U.S. cities this month. Pre-order the digital album and pre-save on Spotify today https://t.co/gYE4Z1AVtU pic.twitter.com/1xYeaTqUzo

On Nov. 22, Corgan will release a new solo album titled Cotillions, under his solo project full name, William Patrick Corgan. The news was officially announced on Friday and is described in terms that might sound a bit unexpected to those familiar with Corgan’s “usual” sound:
Seventeen Americana songs, written across the U.S. and recorded in Chicago and Nashville, with a few guest appearances by Katie Cole, Jeff Schroeder, and other notable Nashville session musicians.
In addition to the album, Corgan will play a handful of solo gigs encompassing his solo material, his Smashing Pumpkins repertoire and other projects, including Zwan and more.
