Well, Green Day moved up the release date of their new album, Revolution Radio, which was previously scheduled to come out on October 21.
Instead, the LP showed up on streaming platforms today, Friday, October 7 – and it’s a really, really good listen.
An inspired effort from the East Bay punk icons, Revolution Radio sounds like a sequel to American Idiot. From opener Somewhere Now to the infectious Say Goodbye, this is the band at its very best, and this new record should definitely appeal to everybody that might not have enjoyed the Uno, Dos and Tre! three-album trilogy from a few years ago.
And remember, Green Day are on the road now for a club/theater tour, which you should absolutely make an effort to catch if gig comes to your town.
Stay tuned for more form Green Day, and welcome back, guys!
