There are a lot of films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe — and it’s all coming to a head this weekend, when Avengers: Endgame hits theaters amid feverish anticipation. It’s the conclusion to the lengthy series of MCU films and will (expectedly) tie up loose ends put out by last year’s Avengers: Infinity War and its dramatic final moments.
In the build-up for the big release, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon aired something last night that is more or less what you’d expect from Fallon — a send-up of Billy Joel‘s classic “We Didn’t Start the Fire,” but with the cast of the Avengers movies doing the verse-shouting and Fallon sitting at a table a la Joel in the original clip.
Mark Ruffalo (The Incredible Hulk), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Don Cheadle (war Machine), Karen Gillan (Nebula), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), Chris Evans (Captain America), Brie Larson (Captain Marvel)– they all show up in the clip, which also features movie footage of some of the other characters in the MCU.
It’s a lot, but it’s pretty amusing:
