On Tuesday night, the new rap/rock supergroup featuring Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello, Brad Wilk and Tim Commerford, Public Enemy MC Chuck D. and B-Real of Cypress Hill made their debut with a high-energy gig at the Whisky-A Go Go in Hollywood. The show, announced at the last minute, seems to have been quite a party. Don’t want to be dead to life, don’t want to be dulled to extinction. That’s one of the lines in Garbage’s new single Even Though Our Love is Doomed, which the band premiered late last week. It’s from their upcoming album, Strange Little Birds, which is due out June 10. After a lengthy hiatus, So*Cal alt/rockers Thrice returned last week with a new album titled To Be Everywhere Is To Be Nowhere.
