On Dec. 11, members of the Allman Betts Band will gather at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville for the fourth annual Allman Family Revival, a loving musical tribute to the late, great Gregg Allman (whose birthday is Dec. 8).

A limited-capacity, socially-distant in-person event and live stream concert, the Allman Family Revival “features Allman’s son Devon as the host and a roster of celebrated acts including The Allman Betts Band, special guests Jimmy Hall (Wet Willie), Luther Dickinson (North Mississippi Allstars), Shannon McNally, Alex Orbison, JD Simo, Patrick Sweany and more to be announced.”

Here’s a flashback to the 2019 Revival event:

As its name might suggest, the Allman Betts Band is made up of sons of Allman Brothers Band legends Gregg Allman and Dickey Betts, accompanied by Berry Oakley Jr. on bass, Johnny Stachela on slide guitar, John Ginty on Hammond B3 (Robert Randolph/Dixie Chicks) and Devon Allman Project percussionists R. Scott Bryan (Sheryl Crow) and John Lum.

The Allman Family Revival show will find the ensemble and special guests playing “new cuts off the Allman Betts Band’s 2020 release, Bless Your Heart, songs from their 2019 debut album, Down to the River, and classic Allman Brothers & Gregg Allman songs as well as other fan favorites.”

Live stream tickets to access the streaming show will cost $15 and are available at this link.
