Def Leppard‘s career has endured over the decades to where the band sits today — one of the foremost ‘arena rock’ bands of the 1980s, still a very viable touring act that is up for potential induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Spring 2019.

On Friday, the band will release The Story So Far, a compilation of their best-known and most-beloved songs, in addition to three new tracks. One of those is a cover of Depeche Mode’s “Personal Jesus,” a song that guitarist Vivian Campbell told Billboard holds a special place in the minds of the band members:

“‘Jesus’ is the sort of classic song that can be interpreted in many ways and as Def Leppard has always been the kind of band that can blend genres, it was an easy choice for us. It was that or ABBA!”
