Voracious wildfires have erupted throughout California for days, causing unprecedented damage, destroying homes, displacing residents and claiming the lives of far too many. Fierce winds have fueled the fires, which local firefighters and emergency personnel have been battling all week. Seeking to do what he can, Foo Fighters front man Dave Grohl took matters into his own hands.
Grohl, who lives relatively close to the Woolsey Fire wreaking havoc along the 101 freeway in the Calabasas area, cooked up a batch of BBQ meat and brought it to the fire stations:
To all the @lafd & @LACOFD heroes we met last night…thank you. It was an honor to cook for you. -Davehttps://t.co/qOn5L4lVyvhttps://t.co/64h5xc144Hhttps://t.co/cfReQxDuAOhttps://t.co/4WHk2VGnpwhttps://t.co/Aw1uXCfeR2https://t.co/103rB1iCte#backbeatbbq pic.twitter.com/8SZEFskNUQ

Grohl’s BBQ endeavors have been something he’s done a lot lately in the area, at local farmer’s markets and for private events, and with the Foo Fighters on a break after extensive world touring for their 2017 album Concrete and Gold (including Cal Jam 18 this past October), he saw fit to try and lend a helping hand however he could.
Best of luck to the men and women fighting the blazes, and for those who have lost their homes and valuables during this extremely dangerous past week or so …
