On Saturday night at Billy Joel‘s concert at New York City’s Madison Square Garden, Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry appeared onstage for a special guest appearance, playing “Walk This Way” with Joel and his band.
Moments later, Perry was tended to by emergency medical personnel after experiencing shortness of breath, and was later rushed to a hospital.
Here’s the latest regarding Perry’s status as of Sunday:
This morning Perry remains in the hospital where he is alert and responsive. The Aerosmith guitarist will be unable to appear today at Rock And Roll Fantasy Camp in Florida and apologizes to those attending. Perry is expected to return to the road later this month.
