Sunday was Father’s Day, and Chris Cornell‘s daughter, Toni Cornell, honored her late father’s memory with a very special recording.
She and her father recorded a cover of “Nothing Compares 2 U,” the song written by Prince that later became a big hit for Sinead O’Connor in the 1980s, and for Father’s Day Toni released it with the following tweets from her father’s account:
Recording this song with you was a special and amazing experience I wish I could repeat 100 times over and I know you would too. Happy Father’s Day daddy, nothing compares to you. – Toni https://t.co/aQkhLaoQR7

Last August, Toni Cornell performed Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” in honor of her father and Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington, who had just died the month before, on Good Morning America:
Rest in peace, Chris and Chester.
