Yes to Tour North America for 50th Anniversary in Summer 2018

2018 is a big year for Yes — the legendary prog-rock band celebrates its 50th year since formation, and as such the band has huge plans.

Yes — guitarist Steve Howe, drummer Alan White, keyboardist Geoff Downes, vocalist Jon Davison and bassist/vocalist Billy Sherwood — will head out on a big 50th anniversary tour throughout North America this summer, it was announced on Tuesday. The news comes shortly after Yes took part in this year’s Cruise to the Edge.

Official, full details and the tour schedule (and ticket onsales) will be announced soon, so stay tuned!

This is, indeed, Yes. Chris Squire co-founded the band in 1968, and it has a long (and well-known) history of personnel changes, such that only Chris Squire was a constant. Squire personally selected Billy Sherwood to take his place before he tragically died in 2015, and the band has kept the legacy alive. I welcome their inclusion of founding member Tony Kaye as a guest during this 50th anniversary tour. It should be a great experience!
