After a few days of feverish online anticipation, Justin Timberlake released his new single, “Filthy,” on Friday.
The lead single from his upcoming fourth solo album, Man of the Woods, “Filthy” was released digitally on streaming platforms and as a highly stylized music video. In the clip, Timberlake portrays a Steve Jobs-type at something called the ‘Pan-Asian Deep Learning Conference’ in Malaysia in 2028.
Timberlake’s character introduces to the stage a robot, which begins a frantic dance routine that spans the rest of the video. It’s an interesting look, for sure, and the song is an intriguing preview of the rest of the album:
Man of the Woods will be released on March 2 and features collaborations with Alicia Keys and Chris Stapleton, it was revealed with the track listing on Timberlake’s Twitter account:
