Coachella 2018 Announced; The Weeknd, Beyonce, Eminem Headline Stacked, Varied Lineup

The official details for the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival 2018 were revealed on Tuesday night, and it’s a big deal.

On April 13-15 and 20-22, 2018, acts from all across the music spectrum will convene at the Empire Polo Club in Southern California for another installment of Goldenvoice’s extremely lucrative and successful yearly festival.

In terms of headlining acts, this year’s is heavy on the mainstream, with The Weeknd, Beyonce (making up for her cancellation in 2017 due to being pregnant with twins) and Eminem. But beyond the headliner card, this is a particularly loaded lineup of acts — again, skewing away from the rock and roll crowd a bit but still packing in enough variety to appeal to a number of different types of music fans.

Some noteworthy “gets” include:

David Byrne

Portugal. the Man (riding the high of their celebrated and Grammy-nominated new album Woodstock, they have a marquee billing on Sunday, ahead of ODESZA and Eminem).

A Perfect Circle

Haim

Chic featuring Nile Rodgers

Jamiroquai

St. Vincent

The War on Drugs

Fleet Foxes

and much more.

Passes for Coachella will assuredly sell out nearly instantly, as is the custom every year lately, and will go on sale this Friday, January 5 at 12:00 P.M. PT. Visit Coachella’s site for more details.
