2018 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees List Includes Bon Jovi, Nina Simone, Moody Blues, More

The votes have been cast and tallied, and a handful of classic musical acts will join the vaunted ranks of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018.

On Wednesday, the results were in, and the following bands and artists will be honored in Cleveland early next year:

Bon Jovi

Jon Bon Jovi expressed his appreciation:

The Cars

Dire Straits

The Moody Blues

Nina Simone

and Sister Rosetta Tharpe:

Those above received the most votes out of a nominee list that also included the likes of Kate Bush, Depeche Mode, Judas Priest, the MC5, Radiohead, Rage Against the Machine and more. Of course, not all acts consider being enshrined in the Rock Hall to be that big of a deal — Yes icon Rick Wakeman had some candid thoughts about it when we spoke with him in January — but it’s still quite an achievement nonetheless.

From the Rock Hall’s website:

The 33rd Annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, presented by Klipsch Audio, will take place on Saturday, April 14, 2018 in Cleveland. Ticket on-sale dates will be announced in January. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 2018 Induction Ceremony will again have its television premiere on HBO, and a radio broadcast on SiriusXM. Broadcast details will be announced in early 2018.
