It’s been a long time since Jeff Lynne and Electric Light Orchestra did a proper tour of the United States — but the wait is over.
Monday morning, it was revealed that Jeff Lynne’s ELO will head out on a stateside trek in summer 2018. This will be the first official U.S. tour for ELO in more than 30 years (the most recent full U.S. tour was way back in 1981).
Produced by Live Nation, the 2018 dates will take place in August and hit up major cities across the country:
|THURSDAY, AUGUST 2, 2018||OAKLAND, CA||ORACLE ARENA|
|SATURDAY, AUGUST 4, 2018||LOS ANGELES, CA||THE FORUM|
|WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 8, 2018||DENVER, CO||PEPSI CENTER|
|FRIDAY, AUGUST 10, 2018||HOUSTON, TX||TOYOTA CENTER|
|MONDAY, AUGUST 13, 2018||DALLAS, TX||AMERICAN AIRLINES CENTER|

Tickets for the shows will go on sale starting on Nov. 17.
“Our audiences are amazing. It’s like they’re in the group. We can’t wait to play for them again,” says Lynne in a statement with the news.
Judging by how great Jeff Lynne’s ELO were at the Hollywood Bowl in 2016 (click here for a recap of that), there’s no doubt the upcoming U.S. shows will be a treat. For more, visit ELO’s official site by clicking here.
