Quicksand’s First New Album Since 1995, ‘Interiors,’ is Now Available (New Music Friday)

Two decades. That’s a long time, but it’s shorter than the gap Quicksand had between albums.

On Friday, the respected post-hardcore band released Interiors, its first new album since 1995’s Manic Compression, via Epitaph Records. So yeah, it’d been a long time coming, after an extended hiatus and a reformation in 2012.

But they’re back now, and Quicksand — guitarist/vocalist Walter Schreifels, guitarist Tom Capone, bassist Sergio Vega (who’s also now a member of Deftones) and drummer Alan Cage — haven’t let the long break hold them back at all.

Produced/engineered by Will Yip, Interiors is a powerful return to form for the band, one that definitely ought to please longtime fans — many of whom probably never thought they’d see a new record. Stream it below, via Spotify or Apple Music:
