On Dec. 8, Story of the Year will end a seven-year gap between records with Wolves, as previewed recently with its lead single, “Bang Bang” — and now they’ve followed that up with another song.
Premiering over at Billboard, it’s called “I Swear I’m Okay,” and for longtime fans of the band (who emerged in the early 2000s with their debut album Page Avenue, led by “Until the Day I Die” and “Anthem of Our Dying Day,”) this song is … different. Featuring swirling synth and a dramatic, stop-start chorus from vocalist Dan Marsala, it’s a different approach for the band, for sure — but still retains elements of their patented post-hardcore alt/rock sound.

Pre-orders for Wolves are up at Story of the Year’s PledgeMusic page (click here), after early fundraising far surpassed the band’s goal. As Billboard pointed out, the album will be released exclusively to Pledgers on Dec. 1, ahead of its full release a week later.
