Ozzy Osbourne has been doing his thing as a venerable rock icon for five decades, whether with Black Sabbath or as a solo act — but at 68 years of age, he’s finally ready to settle down.
On Monday, the Prince of Darkness announced a farewell global tour that will begin in May 2018 and wrap up in 2010 — giving fans the world over a two-year span with which to catch him in concert one last time.
After the tour, Ozzy will continue to perform “select live shows,” though this will be the final all-out tour of his vaunted career.
“People keep asking me when I’m retiring,” OZZY says. “This will be my final world tour, but I can’t say I won’t do some shows here and there.”
For this farewell tour, Ozzy will be flanked by longtime band mates Zakk Wylde (guitar), Blasko (bass), Tommy Clufetos (drums) and Adam Wakeman (keyboards).
