Introducing the Action Skulls, and Rock Cellar’s New Video Series ‘RockCellarTV’

Meet the Action Skulls — a supergroup you might not have heard of yet, but definitely should.

Their debut album, Angels Hear, is now available … and it’s quite an introductory statement made from the band, which features Bill Mumy (accomplished musician and actor, as he was Will Robinson on the iconic TV series Lost in Space), Vicki Peterson (of the Bangles) and her husband John Cowsill (a touring drummer with the Beach Boys for nearly 20 years).

But don’t take our word for it — let them tell their story themselves. Rock Cellar was proud to host the Action Skulls the inaugural edition of RockCellarTV, a series of exclusive video interviews that we’re showing off now for the first time.

**As a heads-up, much of our RockCellarTV content will be available exclusively to our e-mail subscribers, so if you aren’t yet a member and are interested in getting first word of upcoming video releases, click here to join up!**

Here’s an introductory video with the Action Skulls:

John Cowsill shares some thoughts:

A major component of the RockCellarTV series will be off-the-cuff performances from the talent featured in each video, and the Action Skulls kicked it all off with a stripped-down performance of “Mainstream”:

Absolutely love the Action Skulls sound! I never knew how talented Bill Mumy was, musically. Been a Cowsills fan since the Sixties, and Bangles fan too.

I have not bought an album in a long time, but I’m going to buy this one. Just wonder what the odds are of getting it autographed?

Keep rocking, Skulls! That old-is-new, retro style is on fire.
