Buzz: Robert Plant’s Website Posts Mysterious Message; Might Led Zeppelin Reform for Desert Trip 2017?

Might Led Zeppelin really, actually, finally get back together in 2017, and could it all be for Desert Trip in Southern California in October? That’s the altest buzz, for two specific reasons. First, Robert Plant’s website was updated on Wednesday to only display the image above.

Second, the inaugural Desert Trip, which took place in October 2016, was initially officially announced on May 3, 2016 – almost exactly one year ago today, implying that details for this year’s version of the mega-fest could be forthcoming.

Might Plant reform the band with John Paul Jones and Jimmy Page once and for all?! What better way to do so than for an appearance at the premier classic rock festival of our time?

Add that with Plant’s website’s tidbit and…well, stay tuned!

Percy is just desperate to keep his name current. He knows, and everyone else in the Zeppelin family knows he can’t hold a tune, much less sing anymore. Jimmy can’t tune down that Gibson any lower and still have it sound like a guitar. Too bad. I keep hoping that Jimmy will find a partner to hit the road with because he really needs to release that inner music.

Led Zep, back in the day, were awesome but to reform now would be a pointless exercise as they wouldn’t sound anything like the band they once were and would sour the memory of a once great band. I hope it doesn’t happen.
