New Music Friday: Stream Robert Plant’s Worldly New Album ‘Carry Fire’

Save for a one-off appearance in 2007, Robert Plant has steadfastly expressed his apprehension about taking part in any Led Zeppelin reunion activities — but that isn’t because he can’t sing anymore. Far from it, actually.

On Friday, Plant released a new solo album titled Carry Fire, and every aspect of it, from the song structures and instrumentation to his vocal delivery, demonstrates that he’s very much still at the top of his game, so to speak. Sure, he may not howl or shriek as much as he did decades ago, but he’s still got the chops.
