Get ready for more Morrissey. The legendary solo artist and former vocalist of the Smiths has inked a new deal with BMG, and will release his first record under the label on November 17.
Titled Low in High School, the album will be Moz’s first since 2014’s World Peace is None of Your Business.
According to the NME, the album was recorded in France’s La Fabrique Studios and Rome’s Forum Studios (owned by Ennio Morricone), and was produced by Joe Chiccarelli, best known for his work with the Strokes, Frank Zappa and more.
It’s expected that he’ll also announce big tour plans (which are always subject to cancellations at the last minute, given his track record) — but as of now, only a show at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on November 10 has been officially announced.
