Over the weekend, it was announced that iconic actor Martin Landau had passed away at the age of 89.
A statement from Landau’s publicist, shared by CNN, revealed that the Mission Impossible star died as the result of “unexpected complications during a short hospitalization” at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles.
In addition to his star-making run on the Mission Impossible series, Landau also was noted for his Oscar-winning performance of Bela Lugosi in the film Ed Wood and Afred Hitchcock’s North By Northwest and, to younger generations, as an agent named Bob Ryan on the HBO series Entourage.
May he rest in peace.

Martin Landau was awesome. NXNW, Mission Impossible, a zillion guest roles, never giving less than 100%. THEN, Ed Wood, for God's sake!
