Best New Music: Sheryl Crow Vows to ‘Be Myself’ with Her New Album, and it Definitely Works (Listen)

After a foray into country/rock, Sheryl Crow has returned to the alternative/pop/rock sound that put her on the map in the early 1990s with her new record, Be Myself.

It’s her first album since 2013’s Feels Like Home, and reunites Crow with co-producer and co-songwriter Jeff Trott, who was also part of the creative process behind Crow’s hit 1998 album The Globe Sessions.

Be Myself was led by the lead single, “Halfway There,” which had an animated music video:
