Legendary singer/songwriters Stephen Stills and Judy Collins have big plans for 2017. Namely, they’re currently working on a collaborative studio album in celebration of their 50th anniversary as colleagues and peers dating back to the Buffalo Springfield and Crosby, Stills & Nash days.

The pair are hoping to finish the album in time to release it this summer, which would be pretty great. Stills has previously worked with Collins in the studio, though only on one record: her 1968 LP Who Knows Where The Time Has Gone.

Stills is also undertaking this project with Collins while also maintaining activity with his band the Rides (alongside Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Barry Goldberg) and prepping his awaited autobiography, which will ostensibly feature Collins throughout as well.

More on the relationship between Stills and Collins, and how this new album and tour go together perfectly:

The story of Stills and Collins is already in the history books: The two met in 1967 and dated for two years. During this time, Stills poured his feelings into a transfixing song that he titled “Suite: Judy Blue Eyes,” which one was of the standout moments among other standouts on CSN’s landmark 1969 debut album. On their summer tour, Stills and Collins will perform songs from their upcoming album along with treasured selections from their impeccable catalogs, as well sharing warm and intimate stories from their amazing journeys that took flight five decades ago in Laurel Canyon.
