British glam-rock heroes the Darkness dropped some big news on Monday morning.

They’ll release a new album, Last of Our Kind, on June 1.

To ramp up excitement for the news, they also unleashed a lyric video for a new song called Barbarian – and in addition to featuring some killer riffs & the band’s trademark wit, it’s also heavy on Vikings and comic book storytelling. Check it out:

The band – front man/guitarist Justin Hawkins, Dan Hawkins, bassist Frankie Paullain and drummer Emily Dolan Davies, also launched  a Pledge Music campaign to house pre-orders for the record – click here for more.

Welcome back, guys – and girl!

So pleased to see them back with such a strong, chugging rock track. Getting a bit tired of the “glam rock” tag – The Darkness are soooo much more than that – this track and indeed the new album will prove it.
    RAWK ON, YOU GUYS!
