This one’s for the parrotheads out there.

Jimmy Buffett is aiming to get into the studio sometime soon and work on a new album, which would be his first since 2009′s Buffet Hotel.

As he recently told Billboard,

“I’m excited about it, and (the material) is kinda piling up on us here, so I’m ready to go back in.”

Some working titles of songs include Einstein Was a Surfer, Useless and Important Information (which may end up being the album title), I Want to Go Back to Cartagena, and Clueless People in a ‘Fraidy Cat World.

Buffett also explained that he hopes to record the record with his full band, and is thinking about doing so in his studio in Key West, Florida or at two prime spots in London: either Mark Knopfler’s British Grove Studios or EMI’s legendary Abbey Road.

Earlier this week, Buffett began his Lounging at the Lagoon tour- view the list of tour dates here.
