A year ago, David Gilmour and Nick Mason of Pink Floyd joined Roger Waters onstage in London during a performance of The Wall.
The treat made headlines around the globe, delighting Floyd fans everywhere.
This week, a video was released that shows the behind-the-scenes footage of how that unlikely collaboration came about. It’s an elegant, simple, black & white video with no narration, allowing the visuals and the music icons’ voices themselves to tell the story.
It concludes with Waters addressing the crowd after the gig:
“30 years ago, when David, Nick and I first did this, I was a rather grumpy person and disaffected with rock audiences…but all that’s changed. I could not be happier to be in this room with these guys.”
