Sara Watkins is best known for Nickel Creek – the Grammy-award-winning alt-bluegrass band that showcased her songwriting, vocals, and incredible fiddle chops.
On May 8th, Watkins releases her 2nd solo album Sun Midnight Sun - which settles more in the folk-rock/alt-country genres that she’s been traveling in these days.
In addition to her Nickel Creek cohorts Sean Watkins and Chris Thile, Watkins has enlisted the talents of Jackson Browne and Fiona Apple – who has joined the Watkins family in live gigs over the past couple of years.
