On May 8, Robert Plant will celebrate his new musical project with an intimate gig at the 400-capacity Gloucester Guildhall.

Joe Schiavon, the Guildhall’s marketing and programming manager, issued the following statement on behalf of the venue:

It gives me great pleasure to announce Led Zeppelin frontman and award-winning solo artist Robert Plant will be performing an exclusive low-key warm-up show at Gloucester Guildhall next month.

This is obviously a massive show for us, and we can’t wait to host it.

The show, entitled Robert Plant Presents Sensational Space Shifters, will be his first with his new band, ahead of a busy summer festival schedule.

This new band will also involve Plant’s normal backing band, Strange Sensation, and Justin Adams, a long-standing musical colleague of the former Led Zeppelin vocalist.
