Kinks brothers Ray and Dave Davies have been called the original Noel and Liam Gallagher, famous for their tumultuous relationship. The English rockers are well into their 60s now, but the feud lives on.
It appears their story will be documented in a new feature film by director Julien Temple, to be called You Really Got Me.
A screenplay is being written by Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais and the biopic should be shot later this year.
Producer Jeremy Thomas told ScreenDaily that, “It’s an incredibly exciting, unique tale, the Cain and Abel of rock.” The focus will be on Ray and Dave’s relationship, but You Really Got Me will cover quite a bit of Kinks history as well.
