Last night, Macy Gray visited Conan to play one of the tracks from her new album, Covered.
Clad in a shiny olive-colored dress and displaying her requisite fork-in-the-electric-socket hairstyle, Gray performed the song Teenagers, a song originally recorded by My Chemical Romance and released on their 2006 album The Black Parade.
Halfway through, a group of kids run out on stage and help out with the performance, which is really pretty good – whether you like her or not, you might actually be impressed with some of the material on Covered. It’s not your average “tribute” album.
