In advance of their forthcoming studio album Choice of Weapon (due out May 22nd), the Cult have released another new track, the single For the Animals. It is available for download on iTunes now.
Speaking with Rolling Stone, front man Ian Astbury explained the song as follows:
“‘For the Animals’ reflects the sentiment the we are a raw, visceral animal, independent and beholden to no one. We celebrate that aspect that is also rising in the culture. We go where nature takes us.”
For the Animals comes after the previously-released track Lucifer, and both songs demonstrate that they’re still at the top of their game.
