On April 14, when The Faces are inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, they will be re-joined by Rod Stewart for a 3-song set, their first performance together in 19 YEARS.

The last time Stewart played with the Faces live was at the Brit Awards in 1993, when he received a lifetime achievement award.

Speaking with Music Radar, Faces drummer Kenney Jones explained the decision for a one-off reunion:

“Contrary to what some people might think, we’re all still great mates and we’ve never said we wouldn’t play together again…We all had dinner about a month ago and decided that the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame would be the perfect time and place.”

Later in the piece Jones leaves the door open for future Stewart + Faces activity, saying “…we’ll just have to see how it goes”.

Here’s hoping they play Stay With Me at the induction ceremony….
