In a bit of a musical sneak-attack, Led Zeppelin god Jimmy Page will apparently release a short album called Lucifer Rising and Other Sound Tracks next Week, March 20th, via his official website.
The record will include re-recorded versions of unreleased music originally intended for the 1972 short film directed by Kenneth Anger. Their deal fell through and the songs remained bootlegged for decades.
Well, bootleg no more – next week they’ll be officially released, in various forms – the Standard Edition will run you $31, while you can register for the “lottery” to purchase a limited-edition Deluxe version for $47. A limited number of those Deluxe ones have been personally signed by Page, and they’ll be even more expensive. It’s confusing, but if you want to register and try your luck, visit this link.
