Yesterday, Guns N’ Roses revealed that they will play a short run of Los Angeles club gigs, much like they have done on the East Coast in the recent weeks.
The dates & venues:
March 9 - Hollywood Palladium
March 11 – The Wiltern
March 12 – House of Blues Sunset Strip
Press coverage of the band’s recent performances on the East Coast have been very positive, with the New York Times even saying that
“…the Roseland show could have happened at any point in the 25 years since Guns N’ Roses released its seminal first album.”
Perhaps non-surprisingly, ticket prices for these special, intimate, “once-in-a-lifetime” shows (as the tour’s poster calls it) are pretty high. The cheapest of the three L.A. gigs is the Palladium show, which runs at roughly $80 before fees. The House of Blues gig is the priciest, setting fans back $130 to catch GN’R in the small-sized venue.
Still, Guns N’ Roses have been playing marathon sets lately, reaching into the 3-hour mark with regularity, so anyone who pays for a ticket will get a long night of music.
Ticket pre-sales for the gigs begin tonight at 5 PM Pacific Time, with regular on-sales scheduled for tomorrow morning. View all the ticket information over at LiveNation.
Here’s a shaky video of the band playing Mr. Brownstone from two weeks ago:
