Noel Gallagher’s 2011 solo debut, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, was the first of two planned albums – his next effort is expected out sometime this year, and will be a collaborative album with British psychedelic duo Amorphus Androgynous.
The first song from this new project was released this week, and will be the b-side to Gallagher’s upcoming single release of Dream On (from the 2011 High Flying Birds record).
While still a separate song, Shoot A Hole Into The Sun is essentially just a remix of his previous single If I Had a Gun…, but with a spacey, tripped-out feel. On his recent US tour, this was the backing track that played as Noel and his band took the stage, so it might sound familiar to anyone who went to any of those gigs.
