Jethro Tull’s ambitious 1-song concept album, Thick as a Brick, is nearing its 40th Anniversary. To celebrate, band leader Ian Anderson preparing to release a sequel, Thick as Brick 2.

On April 2nd (or 3rd in the U.S.), Anderson will release the 2nd part of the story:
“As we baby-boomers look back on our own lives, we must often feel an occasional ‘what-if’ moment. Might we, like Gerald, have become instead preacher, soldier, down-and-out, shopkeeper or finance tycoon…?
Those of more tender years – the social media and Internet generation – may choose to ponder well the myriad of chance possibilities ahead of them at every turn…” — Ian Anderson
To honor the release and the anniversary, Anderson will hit the road to perform both entire albums, one in each act. Backed by John O’ Hara (keyboards), David Goodier (bass), Florian Opahle (guitar), and Scott Hammond (drums), the tour is set for overseas, in the U.K.
